Regardless of your feelings about war or the current administration, you should respect the sacrifices made by the men and women of the United States Armed Forces while fighting honorably under the U.S. Flag. As a nation, we have a duty to make sure that they are taken care of properly when they return to civilian life. We must make sure that they are not subjected to the horrors of war, in our name, and then subjected to abandonment and abuse when they return home. This website will record their lives as veterans using news reports, blog posts and video. Hopefully, it will show more good than bad. Hopefully, the bad will be seen as a national disgrace and acted upon.

According to the said act, the retired service men can now receive the maximum coverage available under the Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance Program. In figures, that maximum coverage converts to $400 000. However, not all veterans can get this particular life insurance benefit. If you want it, you first have to be younger than 60 on the five-year anniversary date of your coverage. Additionally, you have to be currently receiving less than the maximum coverage. Read more about Veterans Life Insurance Offers Upgrades Under a new law, participants in the Veterans Group Life Insurance Program will now have an opportunity to beef up their coverage, the Veterans Affairs Department has announced. www.1800insurancetoday.comFrom:1800InsuranceTodayViews:10ratingsTime:02:35More inFilm & Animation

The Center will support Veterans throughout Fairfield County by consolidating federal, state and local veteran services in one location. The Center will also provide daily shuttle buses transporting Veterans to the West Haven VA Hospital as well. Soldiers back from Iraq, or any other veterans can stop by the center. Officials stationed at the center will help vets get job training, search for housing, and connect them to mental health resources.From:TonyHwangCTViews:51ratingsTime:02:20More inNonprofits & Activism

Main St. The new center will allow area veterans the ability to access local, state and federal assistance, including direct submission of VA claims, advocacy for veterans and their family members; a PTSD support group and assistance with readjustment needs or concerns, in addition to the advocacy and social support services, food pantry and transportation already offered by the City. Well it almost one stop center, prior to this interview veterans asked me if there was a way to prove they are a veteran. The answer is yes, veterans of any length of service honorably discharged can get an official ID card but must go to Veteran's Hospital for the card.From:DoingItLocalViews:10ratingsTime:01:36More inNews & Politics
