Thoughts On Occupy Monterey Eviction Day.I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (www.youtube.com Just a few thoughts on the last gasp of immorality playing itself out. Occupy Monterey has been given until today to vacate the BBQ area of Veterans Park, Monterey, California after about 3 months and numerous complaints the City finally came to its senses and evicted the immoral Occupiers. The City is out thousands of dollars because of the secret deal made by the Assistant City Manager Fred Cohn, who refuses to publicly reveal who put up the "anonymous" donations to cover the cost of camping in the BBQ area of the park. My question is this, if the Occupy Monterey group represents a virtuous ideal, then why the need to make special secret deals to fund it? Why would one wish to remain anonymous? And why did Fred Cohn side with the Occupy Monterey group over the Citizens of Monterey who he is employed by? To the wealthy Occupy Movement Leaders I ask this. Are you going to take any of the less fortunate homeless people back to your homes, or place them with family members until they can get back on their feet? I know a few of you have well to do families, and you come from upper middle-class and wealthy areas of the country. One even lives in a No.#1 rated city on the livability scale of Money Magazine. Are you done using these people now that you've been defeated? I guess so. I did note one person from Prunedale offering a place to camp on his/her property.
